"Hi, I live in Brusly across the street from Amie's house. She was a very good friend of mine and I miss her dearly. My daughter and I traveled the same stretch of Interstate just hours after the accident and had no idea that Amie had been killed until we arrived home. Amie was such a positive influence on my daughter (Jessica) who was 8 at the time of her death. Amie always had time for Jessica no matter what. My daughter often spent the night at the Comeaux's house. "

"I recall one New Year's Eve when we were over there and my daughter and several other children including Megan (Amie's Godchild who was also in the accident) held Amie down on the floor and refused to let her up until she sang a song for them. Amie graciously agreed. This was an amazing thing to hear considering that she was lying flat on her back with three or four children sitting on her."

"Another delightful memory was going trick-or-treating with Amie and Megan on Halloween. Losing Amie was so devastating to me and my family. Amie touched a lot of people, she left a wonderful impression on my daughter. I wish that there were more people in the world like Amie. If you knew Amie you had no choice but to love her. Amie will always have a special place in our hearts. Her new CD is titled correctly, she is 'A Very Special Angel.'"

"I had the opportunity to meet Amie at her godfather's election party in 1997. She was very nice and she also sang for us. I have always loved Amie's music. Amie will be missed greatly by all of us. I have always said that I want to be just like Amie, and I want it now more that ever. I especially love her new CD. It is absolutely beautiful. Amie had a very big heart. I really don't think that she hated anyone and every time that you would see her, no matter what, she would have a smile."

"While attending LSU in Baton Rouge I had the opportunity to get to know Amie's music. Her first song 'Moving Out' was a great upbeat tempo that had me singing. I never had the opportunity to meet her due to my schooling. I wished I had the chance to see her perform and meet her to let her know that I enjoyed her music. When I left college and moved back to Shreveport, I did not hear much of her music. My boyfriend, whom I met nine months ago, has been a big Amie Comeaux fan and had the opportunity to meet her… he says she is great. He has her 'Moving Out' CD and I play it when I can. I have to say that my favorite song on there is 'Oh No, Not Love Again'. It is a great song and I enjoy hearing it. I hope to get her second album and also hope that she will get the recognition she deserves. It is hard to believe that she is gone, but she will be always be remembered by her family, friends and fans. May her spirit be with us wherever she is......"

"My Unconditional Love For Amie...I have been a huge fan of Amie's since her 'Moving Out' video. I was so devastated to hear that Amie had died. I cried for a week. In fact, I'm cryin' now. I watched her on Crook and Chase for so many years. She is my inspiration to live life to the fullest. I have Cerebral Palsy and for years thought that I could never be a singer because I couldn't entertain, so Amie let me live my dream through her. Now that she's gone, I've decided to follow my heart and sing for Amie."

"Hello. I'm from Brusly, Louisiana, were Amie lived. She was always so kind to this small community. She lent a helping hand to anyone in need of help. She was such a GREAT person to have live near you, but now she is gone and everyone in Brusly is still in shock of her death…we all have to get over it. No matter how hard we try to get over her death, we can't. In everyone's heart from Brusly to Nashville there is a very special place for Amie right in the center of our hearts."

 Love Always, Hollie Bonanno

"I heard Amie sing as just a little tot. She was only 2 years older than my son. We were at the time very close to her grandmother Ida and her grandfather Joe. We were very sorry to hear of the bad news when it came ...Chad Breaux, son of my best friend, e-mailed me on how to get to her page and I am very glad he did. I think it is a great idea of what you are trying to accomplish and I wish all of you the best of luck."

"I'm still shocked by the death of Amie. I was reading a magazine called 'New Country' and I saw a small notice that the lovely, kind girl with an angel's voice was killed in a car crash...oh no, no, not her...so young and so sweet with a heavenly voice. I cried my heart out, but I know now she is singing in heaven amongst all the other angels and teaching them country and western songs in her special way. In the summer of 97, me and my friend, Hans Grip, planned to go to Malung and Furuvik to see and hear Amie on stage. But I got a job and could not came to Malung and Furuvik. My friend Hans met Amie and spoke to her and got photographed with her. When he showed the photos of Amie and him I wished I could also have met her and got photographed with her. AMIE, I WILL ALWAYS LOVE YOU, MY SWEET ANGEL."

"I saw Amie perform at Fan Fest '95. Just becoming a fan of country music, I didn't know anyone on stage. I thought they all were famous. Of course, anyone that saw Amie saw she was very pretty, but when she opened her mouth it was apparent to everyone she was a lot more than a pretty face. I have looked far and near and haven't been able to locate any albums by her. I got to meet Amie during Fan Fest. She took time to make everyone feel special that stood in line. I asked if I could get my picture taken with her and she agreed. I have cherished the picture and know it means even more. I stumbled on your page by accident really. I read about her death the day after it happened -- I can say I cried so hard. I guess I really wanted to tell you that I saw a really pretty young lady with a voice that surely would make her a superstar. I was told after I left Fan Fest that she wasn't as famous as many stars are. I told them not to worry -- she would be. I want to let you know I truly loved the songs she preformed at Fan Fest. I have shared my story about Amie and it was my pleasure to do so..."

"Let me start by saying that I am shocked and very sad to hear of the passing of Amie. The first time that I ever saw her was in a music video on CMT [several] years ago.  I thought that she was the most beautiful young lady to come along in some time -perhaps - ever.  I loved listening to her. So impressed with her performance, that I ordered her album on CD and tape.  I had to order it, because no one in San Diego, CA carried it. I was shocked that no one had ever heard of her out here. I just finished watching the CMA Awards on TV [in 1998] and there was no mention of Amie when they did the tribute to the stars that had passed on during the past year. I hadn't looked at your web page for nearly a year, so this evening I decided to check it out and see how Amie was doing professionally. My eyes welled up with tears as I read that she had passed away, much like they are now. She was a beautiful child with a beautiful voice.  I am certainly disappointed and amazed that she was not mentioned. I was certain that, eventually, Amie would have received the Horizon Award as the "new, up and comer" on the country music circuit. Again, my sincerest sympathy goes out to you, the family, friends and fans of Amie. She will be greatly missed by anyone that knew her or heard her sing."

"Sorry to hear about Amie...I was music director at KFLG-FM/AM in Bullhead City, AZ when 'Moving Out' was released and we did play it. Good friend and promoter Jerry Duncan put it before me...I really liked it and so did our listeners. Amie was talent waiting to take her turn at the mike... But I guess she was needed on a bigger stage..."

“You are the only one anywhere who has ever came up with a home page for Amie Comeaux -- the country web pages don't even have anything about her. She was a wonderful singer and will be missed.  I saw her and met her eight times before her untimely departing. She will be greatly missed. Thanks for dedicating such a beautiful page to her.”

"What a wonderful thing you have done by keeping Amie's memories, and especially her music, alive! When I first heard and saw "Moving Out" on CMT I was speechless! Her voice was so incredible! I honestly went out that day and purchased it [the album]. I mailed off for my fan club membership the next day. I was a charter member and looked forward to meeting her one day, but it never happened... I know her parents were extremely proud of her..."
