"Amie
was my friend and she is deeply missed. I can remember her calling me to make
sure my surgery went okay and wish my family a Merry Christmas..."

"I just wanted to write and say that I was so saddened to learn of the death of Amie Comeaux. She was very talented and had a lot to give. I bought her album shortly after it came out and just days ago I was listening to it and wondering if she was going to ever have another album. Then today I saw that someone had written a letter to Country Weekly about how sad her death had been. I feel so horrible for all her friends and family. I really loved her voice and I think she had the potential to be a huge star. I am an aspiring singer and am just a little older than Amie was when she released her first album. I considered and will continue to consider Amie a huge inspiration."

"I remember the exact moment I first saw and heard Amie. I was a student at Troy St. University in Troy, AL. I was watching CMT as usual and the video "Who's She To You" came on. I was BLOWN AWAY! The minute the video went off, I drove to Montgomery to find her CD. I went into a Turtles music store and asked the sales associate if the CD was in stock. We looked on the rack with no luck. I was about to leave when he said a shipment of inventory had just arrived. I kept my fingers crossed as he opened the box. There were three copies of "Moving Out" inside. I purchased one and went happily on my way. Shortly after the accident, I heard of Amie's passing on The Nashville Network (TNN). I was never fortunate enough to meet her, but how I wish I could have."

"I just wanted to write you to thank you
for your site about Amie Comeaux. My cousin and I always wondered what had
happened to her. I feel really ashamed that I did not know she died four
years ago [as of 2001]. It was such a shock. We wore out that
"Moving Out" CD, we played it so much. It took us a long time to
find it again, but we happened across it at Wal-Mart again a few years
ago. As I write this I am still in shock and I am feeling so sad and so
ashamed of not knowing she passed on. Her music was so wonderful. We
have a lot of great memories that include listening to Amie's music. My
cousin was only 14 at the time we were listening to Amie's music and she [my
cousin] would sing her heart out to Amie's music. We would laugh and have
such a good time. I am just so glad to hear there is another CD out there
and can hardly wait to get it. Again, I just want to thank you for this
web site and for all of the wonderful things that are on here."

"I live in Kalamazoo, MI and had never heard of Amie
Comeaux until last night. That's when I walked into a used CD store and 'Moving Out' caught my eye. I immediately took it to an in-store CD player. As I listened, I was trying to figure out why I had never heard of her. I came home, searched for her name on the web, and found your site. What a sad story. Thanks to you, I have her second CD on the way. It may sound unbelievable but she is still gaining fans! I'm impatiently waiting the arrival of her second album. Thank you for what you are doing."A NEW fellow fan, Joel

"My mother introduced me to Amie's songs about two months ago [6/2001]. We are very sorry for your loss... she had a beautiful voice. We would like to inform you that she is being played on our local radio station in Australia. We live in a small coastal town on the mid- north coast, New South Wales. Keep up the good work in keeping Amie's memory alive..."

"I recently found your site [May 2001] while searching for "Amie
Comeaux." Awhile back, a friend and I were discussing a free music
concert we had attended where Amie was one of the performers. My friend
then told me that her mother had heard on the radio that Amie Comeaux had
been killed. (This was awhile ago, I don't remember when.) I recently got
access to the internet, and decided to see if this was true. I was hoping
that this was one of those rumors that sometimes gets started, but is
totally untrue. I was saddened to find out that this was not the case. My
search led me to your site. I attended a free concert, in the local
Wal-Mart parking lot some years ago with my brother. I'm not sure of the
date, but I think the year would have to have been about 1995. The
concert was promoted by CMT. I think the tour was called "Country
Music Across America," and the performers were Amie Comeaux and Noah
Gordon. There was also an autograph session after the concert. I
thoroughly enjoyed Amie's performance, getting to meet her and get her
autograph and was looking forward to seeing her reach stardom with her
amazing talent. I am so sorry to hear of Amie's passing."

"Hi. I live in Prattville, Alabama and I am 14 years old. I am a cousin of Amie's. I don't really know what to write, but I guess I will start by saying that even though I only really met Amie in person one time, I feel like I know her so much better. I have been a really big fan from the beginning. I do have a wish to go to Louisiana one day to visit Amie's grave. I miss her very much. I know that might not make any sense because I never got to see her, it is still very true. Amie really was my biggest role model and I never really realized it. When I was younger I would pretend I was her, and I admire all of her talent very much. I will never forget that one Christmas when I actually got to eat dinner with her. She even had me a Christmas present. It was a wonderful Christmas that I will always remember."

"My husband is a DJ at our local comunity radio station. He plays country music and Amie is being played by him.
We live in Foster N.S.W Australia. We think it a great tragedy that such a young life was taken."Helen and Mick Morley

"A long time ago I was sittin' around watching CMT and this video comes on... very beautiful girl, really good song. I saw the video a couple more times and even heard it on the radio once - then she disappeared. I never found the CD. I thought, well it happens, people just get lost in the music industry no matter how good they are. I kept searching for the CD... I had to have that song. So one day I searched the net for her to see if maybe I imagined the girl or something. It wasn't easy - it's a hard name to spell - but when I finally found her, what I found was a dead girl. It was so sad and I felt I would never hear that song again. I can't even find it to download on the net..."

"I just wanted to say thank you for doing this site! Not too many people knew of Amie, but she was amazing! I was so shocked to learn about her death and still to this day I wonder why she had to die. Doesn't seem fair! She was a wonderful performer and singer. She will always be thought of!"
Thanks again!

"I was so sad to hear of Amie's death. My daughter and I bought her tape 'Moving Out'
when it first came out. We almost wore it out listening to it. My 10-year-old daughter
was about 7 or 8 years old at the time. She sings karaoke and she sang it over and over. She knew all the words to all the songs after a few days. We never got tired
of listening to it. Amie had a great voice. I can't believe that she never got more popular.
I think she would have. I saw her at Fan Fair 1995 and then my daughter, my niece and I
saw her in Folsum, La. They each bought her a pin and gave them to her after the concert.
We had our pictures taken with her and we treasure them. She spent a lot of time with us
and was very friendly. I also saw her at Fan Fair 1996. We were actually sick to hear of
her death. She signed huge posters of herself for us, and my daughter has had them up in
her bedroom since we met her. She was very beautiful and nice and always had a smile on
her face.
It feels as if we have lost a part of our family. We will always miss her, but we will have her posters and pictures so that we can always look at them and remember what
a special person she was. My sympathy goes out to her family and friends. I hope her family
knows how much her fans really love her. She left us some beautiful music and great memories
and I look forward to getting her new album. I hope everyone feels like we do, and her music
will be played on radio stations all over the world. Goodbye Amie, we will miss you and we
will always remember you."

"In 1994 I remember watching Amie on one of the video shows on TNN. They
were playing the video for 'Moving Out.' I thought the song and video were so awesome. A little later, while I was Christmas shopping, I
found the CD and I bought it. When I got home I listened to it right away and fell in love with it. I wrote to her and told her that I
really loved her voice. A couple of weeks later I received a Christmas card from her. I was so touched. I just couldn't believe that she took
the time out from her busy schedule to do that. It showed me that she was a really good-hearted person, so I joined her fan club. I was a
charter member.
I was a very frequent caller to my local radio station.
The manager of the radio station also was a disc jockey. He had a morning show. I called him one time and asked if he had received any of
Amie's music. He had, so he started playing 'Who's She To You.' He really liked the song and he played it a lot. Sometimes he would put me
on the air and we would talk about her and he would play her song. A couple of times I gave the station a visit and he would put me on the
air and again we would talk about her and he would play her song. When my fan club membership was overdue I never received anything telling me
to renew. I just figured maybe they didn't have a fan club any more.
On November 4, 1998, my 22nd birthday, somebody called the radio station
and put my name on the birthday list. When the radio personality mentioned my name I decided to give him a call since I hadn't call for
over a year. He put me on the air and asked me what my favorite song at the time was. Then he asked me if I had heard that Amie Comeaux had
passed away. I kind of screamed, 'What?!' He then told me that about a year ago she was killed in a car wreck. I instantly teared up and told
him that I was kind of wondering what had happened to her because I hadn't heard anything from her or about
her for a long time. I just figured maybe she didn't make it in the music business. He then played
'Blue.' When I got off of the phone I started crying. But then I was in denial about her death. I really admired her. We were the same age.
I thought she had a lot of talent.
Today I got on the Internet and decided to try to find a site on Amie Comeaux. I found your site. It is very nice and I'm glad I found it --
even though I found out that she really did die. I read everything and I am going to try to find her last CD. I never even knew she had
another one out. Maybe I will start calling the radio station again and ask them to start playing the songs from that CD. The same man
still works there and I'm sure he would play her music. Thank you for creating the Amie Comeaux web page."

"I first found out about Amie Comeaux when she was on Music City Tonight. I was blown away by her amazing voice. She was a truly talented young woman who deserved way more recognition than she ever got. I immediately went out to purchase her first CD. I was stunned to hear of her death. I remember I went numb and dropped what I had in my hands. I stared at the TV screen showing her music video and could not believe that my favorite singer in the world was gone and at such an early age. I am still in shock. For a long time, I could not even bare to listen to her music. Now, I can listen to it, but I still get a little teary-eyed when I think of what her fans and the whole music world lost. Amie was such a talented young woman and I wish she had lived to see her dream come true beyond her wildest dreams. I am now trying to find 'A Very Special Angel.' The search is far from easy. Rest in peace, Amie. Your memory will forever live on in not only my heart, but also in the hearts of your fans everywhere."
