Welcome to My Trisha Yearwood Corner!

Trisha's new album "Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love" (her first studio record since 2005) was released on Big Machine Records on Nov. 13, 2007. The CD cover, tracklist and a link to preview the album has been added to this site. Lyrics for some of the songs, including her second single from the album ("This Is Me You're Talking To") have been added. Look for a new video for this single coming soon on CMT and GAC!

A "Greatest Hits" CD was released by her former RCA label on Sept. 11, 2007. Most of the 17 songs were previously included on her "Songbook" CD, but there are two new, previously unreleased songs, "Just A Cup of Coffee" and "Nothin' To Lose" on it.

Trisha is my all-time favorite country artist. She is the only artist in which I own all of their albums (including her '94 Christmas one!). This Georgia gal has been a favorite of mine since her debut in 1991. As a self-titled "Lyric Girl," her concentration on powerful lyrics along with her angelic voice make her quite an unique artist.

Though there really isn't a song by Trisha that I don't like, my four favorites of hers are "Thinkin' About You," "Lying To The Moon," "Everybody Knows" and "Georgia Rain."

"Thinkin' About You" is a song about a girl who likes a guy so much that she just can't stop thinking about him. At the same time, she's wishing that she could stop thinking about him so often. Trisha does an excellent job of portraying both of these emotions at the same time in her voice. "Lying To The Moon" is a great song in which the power is in how Trisha uses her voice to illustrate the imagery of the lyrics. You can't help but feel that you're the girl in the song who realizes that the guy only gave her false promises. "Everybody Knows" is about a girl who's broken-up with her guy and everyone in her small town thinks that they "know" what she should do about it...that is, everyone but herself. "Georgia Rain" paints a beautiful, bittersweet picture of love and growing up in Georgia (my home state!).

Trisha's 1991 debut hit single was "She's In Love With The Boy."

Trisha released her Christmas album in 1994 (shown top left).  In 2000, her record label re-released the album with new cover art and photos (bottom left).  Both albums have the same title and the exact same song recordings.

Trisha's single "You're Where I Belong" is from the "Stuart Little" motion picture soundtrack. I love the lyrics to it! The video for this song was played on CMT.

Trisha teams up again with her long-time producer Garth Fundis for her album "Real Live Woman."

Her follow-up to the inspiring single "Real Live Woman" was the song "Where Are You Now."

Garth Brooks teamed up with Trisha again on their sassy single "Squeeze Me In." The song was originally only available on Garth's CD "Scarecrow," however, it was been added as a bonus track to newer copies (copies manufactured after approx. Spring 2002) of Trisha's album "Inside Out."

Trisha's song "I Can't Understand" is featured in the motion picture "The Thing Called Love."
(Thanks Elizabeth for the lyrics!)

Finally, after a three year wait... new music from Trisha!! Her beautiful single "Georgia Rain," which features background vocals by Garth Brooks, was sent to radio stations on April 12, 2005. The song is available for purchase at many online digital music stores, such as iTunes.

The song was the first release from her latest CD titled "Jasper County" that came out Sept. 13, 2005.

Trisha, who is from a small town in Georgia, named the album "Jasper County" because that is where she was born and raised. Even though she didn't write the song "Georgia Rain," she asked the writers if they could put Jasper County in the lyrics. The cover of the album as well as the video were shot in that area.

The lovely video for "Georgia Rain" is being shown on CMT and GAC. You may also view the full-length video online by going to the News section on Trisha's official web site.

Songlist for "Jasper County" (release date: Sept. 13, 2005): * Who Invented The Wheel * Pistol * Trying To Love You * River Of You * Baby, Don't You Let Go * Standing Out In A Crowd * Georgia Rain * Sweet Love * Try Me * Gimme The Good Stuff * It's Alright *

News alert... a Limited Edition version of the CD was available for a limited time at Target stores and included a bonus DVD!

Trisha's exclusive never before released track "Love Make A Fool of Me" was available as free streaming audio at Amazon.com for a limited time in December 2005. Amazon.com visitors could make donations to a selected hurricane relief non-profit organization if they chose to do so. The song is not currently available on any albums. (Note: Does anyone have the lyrics to this song?)

The second single and video from the album was the ballad "Trying To Love You." Trisha teams up with her husband Garth Brooks for their current single "Love Will Always Win." This song can be found on the re-issued version of Trisha's "Jasper County" CD (available Feb. 7, 2006) and on Garth's "The Lost Sessions" CD (available only at Wal-Mart).
