"Amie Comeaux's musical legacy" -from Country Weekly magazine, June 9, 1998 When country music artist Amie Comeaux died last December in an auto crash near her hometown of Brushy, La., the 21-year-old singer/songwriter left a legacy of 19 unreleased songs recorded in a Nashville studio. Now A Very Special Angel has been released on Rival Records, with 25 percent of the proceeds going to Covenant House New Orleans, a safe haven for troubled youngsters. Its 11 cuts, three co-written by Amie, include a title tribute featuring Lisa Stewart,Tareva Henderson, Blue Miller, John Rich from Lonestar and others. "Giving Amie a second chance will not help us cope with her passing," says her mother, Carmen. "But listening to her music, you will feel her presence."
