Site update: Hi everyone! I want to apologize again for not being able to
update this web site for a very long time. There have been so many things
happening in my life the past year that has prevented me from doing so,
including several illnesses in my family. However, please rest assure that this
site isn't going away and it will always remain your official source for
everything related to Amie. This is only a start of the updates that you will
see in the coming months. I have good and sad news though...

Amie's upcoming NEW album!
Let's start with the exciting news...
Amie's third and final album will be made! The third album, titled "Memories
Left Behind," will include the last 10 songs that Amie recorded shortly
before her death. The album is being produced by the same executive producer who
did the "A Very Special Angel" CD and it will tentatively be released in
late October 2006. I will post the official release date, along with information on how
to purchase it, on this site as soon as I know.
I have heard a preview of the CD and it is
absolutely awesome! I know you all are going to love it. Also, I feel very
fortunate to be able to do the artwork/design layout for this album (cover shown
above, right).
Thanks to all of the interest that so many people
have shown for the third album... I can't thank you all enough, because this
album would never have been possible without your support. Please continue to
spread the word about this CD! If you have not already done so, and you are
interested in her third album, please send me a message at dmar1171@gc.peachnet.edu
with your name, e-mail address and city/state. I will let you know when
it is available.

Benefit event for Amie's mom, Carmen Comeaux...
Now for the sad news... Amie's mother, Carmen Comeaux, has been diagnosed with
cancer for some time and her condition has recently become worse. Some friends
of the family organized a fundraiser benefit to help cover Carmen's medical
bills. The event took place in the activity center at the St. John the
Baptist Catholic Church in Amie's hometown of Brusly, Louisiana, on Sunday, May
21. The event went well. There was live music beginning at 1 p.m.
Artists who performed were Penalty Box, Muddy Creek, Alicen Holden and
Kristel Hawkins. An auction also featured Amie
Comeaux memorabilia and other special autographed items from her friends in
Nashville, such as Lonestar, John Rich, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Martina
McBride and more. Also, there was a plant sale, gift shop and super raffle. If you lived outside this area and/or
were unable to attend, I
really hope you will contact Brandy LeBlanc to find out how you can still contribute.
For more information, contact Brandy at
(255) 278-7919 or e-mail her at bleblanc4@cox.net. Amie's mom deserves all of the love, prayers and support that we can give her.
Please keep Carmen and Amie's family in your prayers. I pray that a miracle will
happen... ~ Debbie

- A future third album...?:
Shortly before her death, Amie had recorded 19 songs. Ten of those songs
were included on the "A Very Special Angel" CD. However,
the other nine songs remain unreleased. The executive producer of Amie's
last album says that there is a possibility that a third album may be
made with those unreleased songs....that is if enough interest is shown!
Let's show how much we want this album... If you would like to see the
third album released, please send me a message at dmar1171@gc.peachnet.edu
with your name, e-mail address and city/state. Thanks to everyone who
has already e-mailed me! Please continue to spread the word.

A note to all family, friends and fans of Amie: Does anyone have a copy of an article
entitled "Amie Comeaux: A Little Bit Country" that was in Teen
magazine in 1995? I would love to have this issue (or at least a copy of the article).
Also, if any of you have additional pictures, articles, etc. concerning Amie, I would
love to have a copy to include on this web page!

As far as I know, there is now no hope of Amie's music getting played on the radio outside of
the Louisiana area. Promoting the album doesn't seem to be a priority with Rival
Records, and despite all of Chad Breaux's (a friend of Amie's) efforts, there seems to be nothing
that can be done now.
I know radio stations want a free demo copy, but I urge the radio stations to please buy Amie's CD
and play it anyway. I am just as disappointed about this as you are...maybe something will change,
you never know.

Amie's Final Album: Amie's parents fought
hard after her death to get the record company to release her second
album. Their efforts paid off, because the album WAS released! It was scheduled
to be released regionally on March 6, 1998, but because of printing errors in
the album's artwork it had to be sent back to the packaging company and its release
was delayed.

Amie's new album entitled "A Very Special Angel" was released on March 26,
1998, by Rival Records of Nashville. On that same day I received an e-mail from the
executive producer of the album announcing its release. Check out the news release to find out some basic information
concerning the album!

The town of Port Allen in Louisiana held a fundraiser for Amie's memorial on Nov 1, 1998 at the
Community Center from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. There was live music with at least 4 bands, food, contests and
more. The people of Port Allen wanted to do this because Amie always did so much for everyone and now
they wanted to help pay for her memorial.

I'm leaving this section on the page for now, because I don't have the heart to take it off --
maybe there's still hope.]
Help Amie's New Music Get National Recognition!
One of the things I would love to see happen
is for Amie's final album and singles to
receive national recognition. As you know it is hard for any artist to get his or her
music played by radio stations and to get national attention, but it is even harder get
a record company to push the music of an artist who has passed away. Radio is the major
force that drives an artist's career and often determines whether he or she will make it
big in the music world. Not only is someone needed to get the radio stations to play it,
but all of the artist's fans are desperately needed to request it for it to be a success.
I've heard from Chad Breaux, a close friend of Amie and her mom Carmen, who is
trying to make Amie's dream become reality. He is willing to do all he can to see that this
happens, but he NEEDS THE HELP OF ALL OF AMIE'S FANS out there.
** Here's how to help...
He needs to know: 1)Where are you from? Include city, state (or country), 2) Name of the
leading country radio station in your area, and 3) Phone number and/or address of that
radio station.
It is very important for him to know all of this info, because he will be calling radio stations
around the nation to help promote Amie's new CD. He will start with the areas he hears
from first (so he will have an idea of where to begin), because as you know the list
of radio stations is miles long. "I will not know where to start with my massive
quest...," said Chad Breaux. "It's gonna take more than just me to get this
thing going - it will take all of the fans calling and requesting the album and
all of the good stuff like that."
(NOTE: This effort is no longer valid. However, it does the
dedication that was made several years ago for Amie!)
Even though Amie is no longer here, I hope that people will take notice of her
final effort and she will get some of the credit she deserved and her memory will
live on through it. Let's do this for Amie!!
