Amie Comeaux's visit to
Borlänge, Sweden
in 1996
|
Amie
visited Borlänge, Sweden and performed at Kupolen on Nov. 16,
1996. She was backed by Thomas Haglund's band, a Swedish country
group.
The
picture at the right shows Amie watching fiddler Thomas Haglund perform a solo; part of the large audience
can be seen in the foreground. The
English translation of the banner's text is: Borlänge (the town's name)
show and dance fiesta; Lördag (Saturday) November 16th, Arena Kupolen
(Arena was the name of the company that owned Kupolen at that time);
Shows, music and country food. Kupolen
means "The Dome"; kupol = dome, -en = the).
Note
about Swedish words: å is pronounced like 'a' in all.... ä and ö are
pronounced like 'a' in air and 'E' in Ernie.
