Brian's Page on Atlanta's Sports!!!!

We got the Falcons, and we got the Braves.  What more could we want need? Maybe MJ in his prime could help the Hawks, or not?

Did I forget to mention those Georgia Bulldogs.  How 'bout them Dawgs!!!

Michael Vick is the coolest, sleekest, fastest quarterback Atlanta or the NFL has ever seen.  Vick was born on June 26,1980 in Newport News, Va.  He attended Virginia Tech, where he also played quarterback and wore lucky number seven.  He currently weighs in at 215 pounds and is not a slight bit scared to take a hit.  In 2002 and 2004, he helped lead the Falcons to the NFC championship, where we lost both years, but hopefully we will take victory in the 2005 season.  I have a feeling that we will be back-- thanks to the intelligent new coaching staff and the will to win within our active roster.  Also, we acquire some talented athletes this off-season, which will only help our already outstanding team  Click on Vick below, then click on Vick 360 to check out how versatile he is in other sports!  Or you can click on the Falcons link above for team and individuals statistics.

Who knows what will become of the 2002 SEC Championship Bulldogs now that star quarterback, David Greene, and defensive lineman of the year, David Pollack, have graduated.  Well, we all know D.J. Shockley will be taking the snaps this upcoming season, but how will he do?  Only time can tell and let us all just hope that practice is a daily task only improving the Dawgs.  Pollack and Greene both went in the N.F.L. draft, congratulations to them and I wish them both the best of luck.  However, I have a gut feeling that Pollack is going to be something to watch this year.  For all Georgia sports information, or if you're curious, click below:

Georgia Dawgs!!!!

Maybe 2005 is the year for the Atlanta Braves.  Who would ever have thought that a decade later we would be wondering who the next Sid Bream could be.  Since the Falcons stepped it up, maybe the Braves are up for the competitive challenge of fighting over Atlanta fans.  And that is just what the Braves have done.  We are in a close race for number one in the National League East   I would like to give a special recognition to Bobby Cox for his inborn competitive drive and his ability to not only win games, but also teach and coach players who are not spectacular or natural playmakers.  Click on Bobby Cox above for his Bio and career stats as well as the team's.  Lastly, I would like to give special props to John Smoltz and Andruw Jones for carrying the team while some of our key players are on the DL.

Now how about those Atlanta Hawks?  This off-season, The Atlanta Hawks picked up a few talented players in the NBA draft.  Drafted number two was North Carolina's Marvin Williams, a versatile player who should be able to adapt quickly to our starting five.  Picked thirty one, or first in the second round, was Arizona's shooting guard Salim Stoudamire.  Salim is known for his ability to shot the ball extremely well, and make clutch free throws, as well as shots, in nail biting situations.  These improvements will more than likely bring the fans back to a once exhilarating sports program, and put Atlanta in to contention for a playoff seat.  For stats or other information on Atlanta Hawks basketball click below, or above.

NBA Draft: Atlanta Hawks

I know this is a little off the subject, in fact, this doesn't even apply to Atlanta anywhere or anyhow, except every year he beat the Hawks on the court.  Also, how could forget that time he dunked on Mutumbo in the finals that one year, Michael Jordan was a basketball God.  This is one of the greatest athletes of all time and he definitely deserves recognition, and I'm going to give it to him.  The name is Michael Jordan for those that know him, or more properly "His Airness".  For those that do know him, many believe that he was the greatest ever to play the game of basketball; and I would have to fully agree.  Most people know him best for his Six NBA championships, as well as his leadership abilities on and off the court.  I could talk about his effort, skill, passion, cool shoes and bald head all day, but I don't think everyone has time for that.  Below are two links: one link has a few pictures to oooohhh and awwww at, while the other link lists his career (college and NBA) accomplishments.  Please take time to appreciate what this man has done as a player and to the overall who game of basketball.
