Math League Competition

The fall 2007 portion of the competition will take place in late October.  The exact time and place will be announced soon.

The Student Math League Competition consists of two tests throughout the school year. These tests assume a student has had coursework in College Algebra and Trigonometry only, and there are no calculus questions on the tests.

The Math League Competition is an opportunity for students to put their excellent quantitative and mathematical skills to the test and to win cash prizes. Prizes are awarded to the top finishers on each of the three tests and to the top three finishers over all three tests. A $3,000 scholarship is also offered on the national level to the highest scorer. There is no cost to participate, and one receives the satisfaction and recognition of having participated in a challenging math competition.

During the 2004-2005 school year, Gainesville College was the 2nd place team in the Southeast Region, and we also had the top female competitor in the region!
